AS Piletilevi PLG (PLG), the largest ticketing operator in Central and Eastern Europe, has finalized the full acquisition of its Romanian entities—Bilete.ro, Entertix.ro, and Myticket.ro. PLG has a solid presence on the Romanian market, having acquired the majority stake in Bilete.ro, the country’s oldest ticketing company, in mid-2023. In December 2024, it completed the acquisition of Ticketing Nation S.R.L., which operates Entertix.ro and Myticket.ro. Together, the merged companies offer the most comprehensive ticketing services available in Romania.
On 4th July deal was finalized by purchasing the remaining shares held by minority shareholders Răzvan Opran, Ion Stănciulea, and Andreea Pop.
This transaction marks the natural continuation of PLG’s initial entry strategy into the Romanian market. The founding shareholders remained involved throughout the transition period to support integration and ensure operational stability. With the market now firmly consolidated, PLG has taken full ownership.
Sven Nuutmann, Chairman of the Management Board of PLG, commented: “We are pleased to complete this phase of our strategy in Romania, a key market for our group. The initial ownership structure allowed for a smooth integration and consolidation. We appreciate the collaboration of the former minority shareholders during this process. PLG is committed to strengthening its long-term position locally. We remain confident in the continued development of the Romanian events market and its growing role as a strategic point in the region.”
Răzvan Opran, co-founder and former shareholder, added: “This transaction is not a finality, but rather a significant milestone in the evolution of this venture. We are proud of what we’ve built and of the partnership we’ve developed with PLG—marked by transparency, mutual respect, and long-term vision. We remain close to the business as advisors, ready to support its ongoing transformation and contribution to the Romanian cultural and entertainment scene.”
This step complements a year of bold regional expansion for PLG. In June 2025, the group acquired Ticketportal, the leading ticketing company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, marking the largest transaction in PLG’s history. With this acquisition, PLG’s annual ticketing volume has grown to over €600 million, selling more than 21 million tickets and attracting 160 million visits annually across its platforms.
By consolidating local champions in Romania, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and the Baltics, PLG continues to build the most comprehensive and integrated ticketing group in Central and Eastern Europe—serving every type of event across all genres and locations with scale, technology, and local expertise.
